Tanganyikan Cichlids
Cichlids from Lake Tanganyika are best known for their interesting social behavior and their extreme adaptation to various environmental niches. Smaller ones have learned to live in old, nearly fossilized, snail shells, while others camouflage themselves seamlessly against the rocky reefs of the lake. Still others have become deadly deep water hunters, defending territory defined by the limits of their vision.
I only keep a few smaller species, as the large Tanganyikans require massive tanks and quite a bit of special care. You can browse through what I have with the navigation bar on the left.
